ACTIVE SUBSTANCE REGISTRATION SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE FIRST MEETING HELD

Content addition date : 01-12-2021

The Scientific Committee on Active Substance Registration, appointed by the General Directorate of Public Health (HSGM) with the official letter dated 24.11.2021 and numbered E-19020089-020-4826, held its first meeting online on 26.11.2021.

Until recently no active substance registration application has been made, no study has been carried out in the Ministry and the lists of active substances published by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) and active substances allowed to be on the European Union (EU) market have been followed.

Since there are chemical and biological active substance registration applications submitted to the Ministry, it is necessary to evaluate the applications and decide whether to approve or not to approve their use in biocidal products.

Within the scope of the Biocidal Products Regulation, information and expectations on the subject were conveyed to the academicians and HSGM personnel, whose expertise is expected to be utilized in the evaluation of active substances that are or will be supplied to our country's market.

For companies to continue their biocidal product licensing processes, they should make their preparations in this direction, considering the necessity of preparing active substance dossiers.
