Who can prepare Turkish SDS?

Safety data sheets shall be compiled by a person certified by the certification agency. Importers shall ensure that the safety data sheets of the imported substances and mixtures shall be compiled by the people with the same qualifications.

Who meets the specified criteria below, can sit the proficiency exam for certification. 

a) High school graduates that have worked at least five years in the chemical industry related with manufacturing, laboratory, quality control and such of these fields,

b) Graduates of Chemistry technical high school, Chemistry vocational high school and etc who have worked at least two years in the chemical industry related with manufacturing, laboratory, quality control and such of these fields,

c) Graduates of associate degree from Chemistry, who have worked at least two years in the chemical industry related with manufacturing, laboratory, quality control and such of these fields,

ç) Graduates of Faculty of engineering or pharmacy, chemistry, biology or physics departments of science or the art & science,

d) Having master or doctoral degree in the field of chemistry science.

In section 16 of Safety Data Sheet, contact details of the Certified Safety Data Sheet Compiler, date and number of the certificate date should be included. 

The safety data sheet of substances or mixtures placed on the market the market, shall be uploaded to the specific IT tool which is designed for the safety data sheet and provided on the website of Ministry, by the suppliers.
