REVISION OF KKDIK REGULATION REGARDING THE EXTENSION OF REGISTRATION DEADLINES PUBLISHED ON OFFICIAL GAZETTE!

The long-waited Revision of KKDİK Regulation Regarding the Extension of Registration Deadlines published on Official Gazette on the date 23 December 2023 and No: 32408.

By this revision; 
I.    Registrations should be completed until 31/12/2026 for substances that meet the following conditions.
a)    Substances manufactured or imported on their own or in mixtures or in articles, in quantities of 1000 mta or more per year,
b)    Substances classified as Aquatic Acute 1 (H400), and/or Aquatic Chronic 1 (H410) with an annual volume of  ≥ 100 mta.
c)    Substances classified as Carcinogenic 1A and 1B (H350), Mutagenic 1A and 1B (H340) and Reproductive Toxicity 1A and 1B (H360) with an annual volume of ≥ 1 mta

II.    Until 31/12/2028 for substances manufactured or imported in quantities of 100 tons or more annually, either on their own or in mixtures or in articles.

III.    Until 31/12/2030 for substances manufactured or imported in quantities of 1 ton or more per year, on their own or in mixtures or in articles.

The details & provisions regarding the pre-registration are said to be published by the Competent Authority later while the life of the SIEF’s are extended to 31.12.2032. 

Need to note that there is no extension regarding the SDS related provisions of KKDİK and the former SDS Regulation 29204 will be repealed as of 31.12.2023. Thus, starting from 1.1.2024 the SDS’s should be compiled in accordance with the provisions of KKDİK Annex II.
